Our CEO Dan Bawden meets Mattress Mack at the GHBA Remodelers Council meeting
Our CEO Dan Bawden got to visit with Mattress Mack at last week’s Greater Houston Builders Association Remodelers Council meeting. Mack announced he is starting a vocational school to train more plumbers, air conditioning and welding trades. The courses will be free to men and women alike, between the ages of 18 and 30, who dropped out of high school. There will be financial literacy taught as well, all done in the framework of Judeo-Christian principles.
At Legal Eagle Contractors, we wholeheartedly support all vocational training programs for construction trades. There is a serious shortage of skilled labor in the construction industry. This is good news for construction companies and homeowners alike!
We contribute to construction training each year by taking a group of high school students to our remodeling job sites for a day. They get to see how a large remodeling project is built on real jobs. We also show them our 3-D architectural plans to they can see how we go from plans to actual construction. The students say they love the experience and always have a lot of questions.
